LEO & NINÉ REVEALS THE MEANING OF THE VIVETTE LABEL
The very name of the wine, Vivette, comes from the verb "to live," and aims to communicate and remind us that it's time to stop, feel, enjoy, and live in the moment—something we forget in our daily lives. From the winery and the brand, we wanted the image to relate to something that represents life, the pleasure and good fortune of living and being alive. Considering that the label would be something relatively permanent, we thought of giving it a timeless yet very different and striking feel, one that would spark curiosity to try the wine. Therefore, to graphically convey the message behind the name, the artist was inspired by real symbols that represent life, its beauty and delicacy, its fleeting duration, and the good fortune of having it.
We wanted to include astral elements, like the stars that watch over our grapes from the moment they form, grow, and ripen. Due to the privileged location of our vineyards at altitude in the foothills of the Pyrenees, we enjoy many cool, clear, and cloudless nights, which brings us closer to them. The central symbol of the label is the largest star—the sun—and the moon, which represents the balance between the feminine and the masculine (the brand aims to reach both audiences). It represents the union of opposing forces that complement each other and simultaneously show the beauty of life's constant cycle. The sun's rays are a very prominent element in this image, serving as the source of energy we need to keep going. Secondary elements include the heart, whose dots around it have been designed to give a pulsating effect; it is alive, it moves us. The broken lines that crown it represent this state of vibration, this movement that moves us.
To us. The bird that also takes center stage is a swallow. In many cultures, the swallow is considered to bring good luck and protect those who are close to it. It's a symbol of good fortune and celebration, as well as the idea that we should celebrate our lives every day. Finally, the semicircles or half-moons distantly represent horseshoes, which symbolize fortune and prosperity, again an element with a powerfully positive meaning.
With Vivette, Leo & Niné invites us not only to enjoy wine, but to celebrate life itself, with all its nuances and richness.
